More Explorations in IR Post-Processing at Valley Forge National Park



I’ve been doing some more experimentation with infrared processing and now I’m swapping the Red and Blue color “channels” in Photoshop. When the Red and Blue frequencies are swapped, it creates a very interesting effect and the images start to possess a stranger character.

I shot this handheld out of a car window at f2.8 for 1/12 secs at iso 800, so the sharpness is not quite where I would like it to be. Using a tripods or monopod would be the obvious solution but when you’re just cruising through the park on a hot sunday you compromise a bit.
